Austin , Texas - April 14 , 2010 - A teacher in the Citizen Schools program (l) show middle school students the finer points of growing a vegetable garden in a plot at Kealing Middle School in east Austin. Citizen Schools is a national network of after-school education programs for students in the middle grades which complements classroom learning by engaging students in hands-on learning projects led by adult volunteers and professional educators.
